So Magic thinks he should win the MVP. He did lead the league in three categories: assists, crying to the officials, and most “Magic Johnson injuries.” That’s when he falls to the ground in agony looking like he should be carried off on stretcher, then pops up for the next play.
Larry Bird led the NBA in three-point shots, free throw percentage and was in the top 10 in rebounds, steals and scoring. Case closed.
