Five men were arrested for investigation in connection with a ring that allegedly stole cargo from warehouses in the Carson and Vernon areas for shipment to Mexico, Los Angeles county sheriff’s deputies said. After an investigation of several weeks, officers of the South Central and South Bay burglary task forces, including sheriff’s deputies as well as Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach police, followed the suspects moving air conditioners, clothing and other goods from a Wilmington warehouse to one in Lynwood. The suspects were identified as Guillermo Fernandez, 36, and Luis Acosta, 35, both of Harbor City; Miguel Medrano, 41, of Hayward; Pedro Luna, 32, of Huntington Park, and Pablo Torres, 51, of Guadalajara, Mex.
