Chernobyl Under Control

With the situation at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant under control and the continuing monitoring of the atmosphere producing acceptable results by worldwide standards, Intourist would like to clear the air about some misconceptions still prevalent in the news media.
Firstly, radiation levels within the Soviet Union are normal (even in the Kiev area) and pose no health hazards.
Secondly, Soviet organizations are reporting on a regular basis to the International Atomic Energy Agency about the results of radioactivity tests.
Thirdly, it is absolutely safe for everyone to travel throughout the Soviet Union.
