David Woodley’s wife says the former Super Bowl quarterback has quit the Pittsburgh Steelers and professional football.
“He’s done with football,” Suzanne Woodley told The Pittsburgh Press from her home in Davie, Fla. “He won’t be back. We talked about it. . . . He’s made up his mind.”
Woodley, 27, was excused from the Steelers’ mini-camp by Coach Chuck Noll last week after he called and said he was considering retirement. Woodley was unavailable for comment.
