CBS is seeking a consent decree modification.

A spokesman for the broadcasting company said CBS Inc. will ask the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles to change the terms of its 1980 consent decree to bring it on a par with its competitors, ABC and NBC, in terms of the prime-time programming that it is allowed to produce. Each of the three networks signed consent decrees settling a government antitrust case over their alleged monopolization of prime-time programming.
