Bobby Schwartz Wins Speedway Scratch Main Event

Costa Mesa’s Bobby Schwartz won the scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Friday night in front of 5,675 at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
John Sandona of Riche Canyon finished second, Mike Faria of Colton was third and Robert Pfetzing of Garden Grove was fourth.
Schwartz also won main events at Ventura, San Bernardino and Gardena this week.
The handicap main event winner was Huntington Beach’s Alan Christian. Mark Dwyer of Riverside was second and Scott Brown of New York was third.
