Placentia Man Seriously Wounded in Drive-by Shooting in Santa Ana

A Placentia man standing on a sidewalk was seriously wounded by six gunshots in a drive-by shooting in Santa Ana on Sunday, police said.
Mario Delgado, 25, was visiting friends about 4 a.m. when he was shot as he stood in front of a residence in the 500 block of South Magnolia Avenue, Police Lt. Jack Nelson said.
Nelson said unknown assailants in a car drove up to Delgado and began firing small-caliber weapons.
Delgado was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
Police said they have no suspects or motive for the shooting.
