Yugoslavia Wins Bronze Medal in World Basketball

MADRID — Drazen Dalipagic scored 30 points and Drazen Petrovic added 23 Saturday to lead Yugoslavia to a 117-91 victory over Brazil for the bronze medal in the 10th World Basketball Championships.
Yugoslavia controlled the boards and took advantage of Brazil’s turnovers to build a 59-47 lead at halftime, then outscored the South Americans, 58-44, in the second half.
Oscar Schmidt led the Brazilians with 27 points.
The United States will play the Soviet Union tonight for the gold medal.
