Valley Dodgers Rally to Split Doubleheader

The San Fernando Valley Dodgers, a semipro baseball team, split a Golden State league doubleheader Saturday with the San Diego Stars at Santana High in San Diego.
The Stars (12-2 in league) won the first game, 11-1, and the Dodgers (12-6 in league, 16-7 overall) rallied to win the second game, 6-4.
Dodgers first baseman Mike Solomon was 3 for 4 with a three-run home run, and Steve Stark and Dan Gonzalez combined for a four-hitter to pace the Dodgers in their win.
