I lived in Canada for 35 years. I am 70 years old.
Of course Canadians are taxed for socialized medicine! It’s a comfort to know that if you are confronted with a “catastrophic illness,” it will not bankrupt you.
I am taxed to pay General Dynamics “overcharges.” Not my choice. I am taxed to pay for government spending billions of dollars to make more and more nuclear weapons. Not my choice.
We are the only democratic country in the world that does not have socialized medicine. I’ll take a tax for socialized medicine any day.
