Authorities are seeking the public’s help in locating a 45-year-old Oceanside man, described by relatives as “mentally disabled” and suffering from epilepsy, who has been missing since he wandered away from a soccer match about 10 a.m. Sunday at UC Irvine, a university spokeswoman said.
Reynaldo Riojas is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 165 pounds, stockily built with black hair and brown eyes, said his sister Rose Riojas of Irvine and university spokeswoman Linda Granell. He was last seen wearing a light blue long-sleeve shirt, black slacks and black leather shoes and has a note in his pocket giving his identification, Granell said.
Rose Riojas said her brother has no money, requires medication and may be “very nervous (which) might trigger an epileptic attack if approached.” She urged anyone with information about her brother’s whereabouts to call the local police department or family at (714) 856-0808.
