A former San Diego late-night television personality was arrested Monday on a fugitive warrant on a Florida child molestation charge, a police spokesman said. Edward Robert Muscare, 54, was arrested by the San Diego Police Department’s fugitive apprehension detail at a trailer park where he lived in the 1900 block of 47th Street, said police spokesman Bill Robinson.
Muscare--who as “Uncle Eddie” once hosted a late-night movie show on San Diego television station KUSI (Channel 51)--was wanted on a $25,000 warrant issued Aug. 24 by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Orlando, Robinson said. The warrant stemmed from an incident earlier this year in which Muscare allegedly molested a young boy, he said. Muscare is awaiting extradition at the County Jail downtown.
