Divers cut open a truck trailer that crashed into the Snake River near Rupert, Ida., and began to unload its cargo of 16 tons of low-level radioactive uranium that officials said posed no health threat. The uranium was being transported from Ohio to the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington state Sunday when the tractor-trailer rig plunged off a bridge into about nine feet of water. The uranium was packed in wooden crates in a trailer that ended up partly submerged in the river about 180 miles southeast of Boise.
