‘Somebody Messed Up’

As attorney for Stuart Bernstein, the employee who stood alone to shoulder the blame for the school district, I want to commend The Times and reporter Terry Pristin for the well-researched article (Oct. 19), “A Case of Molestation: Schools Had Early Warning on Teacher.”
I only wish the district attorney’s initial investigation prior to the grand jury’s inquiry had been as thorough so that my client would not have been selected as the scapegoat for prosecution.
