Nittaidai College Beats USIU in Volleyball

DEL MAR — Nittaidai College, Japan’s No. 1-ranked team, defeated United States International University, 15-3, 15-9, 15-2, in an exhibition match Thursday at Torrey Pines High School.

The Japanese team’s consistent play was enough to overcome a match-high 10 kills by USIU’s Claudia Johnson. Nittaidai’s victory took 52 minutes.
