ALBANY, N.Y. — Gov. Mario M. Cuomo said Friday that a CAT scan he took at a hospital was a long-scheduled test for a chronic bad back and was nothing more serious.
“Look, you are trying to make a big mystery of something that is very simple,” Cuomo said as he prepared to board a flight for Rochester. “I’ve done this for years. This is a normal routine.”
Mark Lane, a spokesman for St. Peter’s Hospital, said the governor requested the CAT scan some time ago “at his convenience after the election.”
