College Roundup : UC Irvine Loses Volleyball Match

Despite 15 kills from Dana Parker and 8 from Kris Roberts, the UC Irvine women’s volleyball team was defeated by Fresno State Friday night, 15-17, 15-12, 15-2, 15-10 in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. match at Irvine.
The Anteaters (1-14 in conference and 7-23 overall) play San Jose State tonight at 7:30 in their last home match of the season. Fresno State is 4-10 and 7-20.
In other volleyball action:
Chapman College was swept by Ferris State, 15-2, 15-7, 15-12, and Regis State, 17-15, 15-7, 15-12, in the first round of the United States Air Force Tournament at Colorado Springs.
Dana Beardsley had 32 assists and Caryn McKinney had 7 kills and Tammy Light 6 for the Panthers against Regis.
The Panthers play the University of Alaska at Anchorage today in the tournament.
