Bidding to become the West Coast’s largest cellular telephone sales and installation operation, Global Telecommunications Corp. in Anaheim will break ground Wednesday for a 21,000-square-foot facility company executives believe will be among the state’s biggest.
In addition to a showroom and sales and storage areas, the plant will have 15 bays where cellular telephones will be installed in vehicles.
The company, which operates as a wholesaler and retailer, sells about 170 cellular telephones per month. It also leases and rents cellular phones.
The 5-year-old company expects to spend $1.5 million to build the new plant on South Anaheim Boulevard in Anaheim. Construction is expected to completed by the middle of 1987.
