The Kings will play the first game of a five-game trip tonight, taking on the Washington Capitals at the Capital Centre.
The Kings (6-11-1) are coming off a 4-1 win over Calgary Saturday night, a game in which they played perhaps their most consistent and error-free hockey of the season.
Washington (7-9-3) has been sputtering lately, and Sunday night lost to Philadelphia, 6-2. The Flyers scored on their first two shots, and the Capitals pulled goalie Bob Mason when he allowed four goals in the first period.
