The Importance of Being Frank

I take umbrage with O’Connell Driscoll’s description of Market Street in Venice as “decrepit” (“Smart Patrol on Market Street,” Oct. 19). Unlike Mr. Driscoll, whose only moments on this most unique and active street are limited to stuffing his face at the 72 Market Street restaurant, I live and work here and have the rare opportunity to see the street from its waking moments to its sleepy grandeur.
No, Mr. Driscoll, you must visit Market Street again when your disposition will not allow you to categorically summarize creative, concerned individuals as “longhairs.”
