‘Human Souls, Animal Lives’

I feel that research on animals should be the first to go on a long list of injustices to animals on this planet. How can Glidden presume that research on animals is the lesser evil? Soul or not, it is wrong to submit any living creature to pain.
According to Glidden’s line of thought I can have such an opinion because I am a vegetarian, do not wear furs, do not abuse my cats.
It is inconceivable that a majority of people will take on this life style and that is exactly what Glidden is waiting for. Well, while he waits, many animals will suffer. All for the sake of his metaphysically clear conscience.
