Motorcyclist Killed in Northridge Collision

A 22-year-old man died after his motorcycle hit a car Thursday in Northridge, police said.
Michael Hendricks, of Northridge, was riding south on Wilbur Avenue when the traffic signal changed, Los Angeles Police Officer Robert Rowe said. A car turning left at Chatsworth Street moved into the path of Hendricks, who had ridden through the red light, Rowe said.
Hendricks was thrown into a light pole and pronounced dead at the scene, Rowe said.
