Navratilova and Lloyd in Rancho Mirage Event

The Martina Navratilova-Chris Evert Lloyd road show is scheduled to stop this weekend at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
Barring injury or upsets--the former is more likely--Navratilova and Lloyd should meet again in Sunday’s final. Lloyd has just resumed playing competitively after missing almost three months because of a knee injury.
The three-day event starts with a pro-celebrity match today at 1 p.m. Then Carling Bassett of Canada plays Stephanie Rehe of Highland, Calif. In the second match, 15-year-old Mary Joe Fernandez of Miami meets Bonnie Gadusek of Largo, Fla. Navratilova and Lloyd have received byes into Saturday’s semifinals.
