Calling for a wider investigation into the U.S. arms scandal involving the Nicaraguan rebel forces, about 300 people demonstrated in front of the Federal Building in West Los Angeles. Among the marchers were representatives of the Interfaith Task Force on Central America, the Nicaragua Task Force and other groups. Police said the demonstration was peaceful.
