Cash Perks Wins Golden State Futurity

Even-money favorite Cash Perks, trained by Blane Schvaneveldt and ridden by the quarter-horse trainer’s son-in-law, Roman Figueroa, won the $746,000 Golden State Futurity Saturday night at Los Alamitos Race Course.
The victory by Cash Perks, her third in four starts, was worth $266,471 to her owner, Meadow Creek Ranch of Auburn, Calif. Cash Perks, who ran the 400 yards in 19.93 seconds, beat Florentine, ridden by Kenny Hart, by half a length.
