American Assn. to Move Headquarters

WICHITA, Kan — The American Assn., an eight-team Triple-A league, will move its headquarters out of Wichita before the start of the 1987 season, the league announced Wednesday.

The league determined it was not feasible to stay in Wichita because the city has been without an American Association team since the end of the 1984 season, President Joe Ryan said.

All cities in the league are being considered as the site for the league’s new headquarters.
