A blasting cap failed to ignite 15 sticks of dynamite left at a New York clinic where abortions are performed because smoke from the cap set off sprinklers, police said. The bomb was found on the fourth floor of Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Center, a police spokeswoman said. No injuries were reported, and water damage was minor. The bomb squad ordered the building evacuated and sent in officers after a telephoned warning, the spokeswoman said. She said she did not know who made the call or if anyone was in the building when the threat was received.
