RTD Bus Runs Over, Kills Man in Long Beach

A Southern California Rapid Transit District bus pulling out from the curb ran over and killed an unidentified man Saturday in Long Beach.
Driver James Green told police that he felt the bus run over something as he pulled out on 1st Street between Pine Street and Long Beach Boulevard. Green was not cited.
Samuel Bagsby, driver of a second bus, told RTD investigators that he saw the man jump toward the rear of the bus. Long Beach police are investigating the matter.
