The old joke about “When my mother is cold, she tells me to put a sweater on,” applies to Perlmutter, who decrees that when she finds something funny in a movie that others should laugh.
If this point of view were not so arrogant it might be funny. I wonder if she will laugh at this small rhyme addressed to her:
What you find funny others may not,
To laugh when you don’t is no sign of plot,
Your sense of humor, I think you forgot,
We’re all of us different and for that
