Forward Robert Haugen had 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead St. Mary’s to a 63-57 victory over the University of San Francisco at Moraga, Calif., Thursday night.
Guard Paul Robertson added 15 points for St. Mary’s (10-7 overall and 1-2 in the conference). USF (12-4, 2-1) was led by guard Keith Jackson with 15 points.
San Diego 73, Santa Clara 51--Scott Thompson scored 23 points, and Mark Manor added 11 to lead the University of San Diego to its win at San Diego.
The Toreros, who led, 35-26, at halftime, improved to 11-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference. The Broncos are 10-7 and 1-2.
