Oldham Leads Mater Dei Over Pius X in Soccer

Paul Oldham scored four goals and John Coggins added three Saturday as Mater Dei High School defeated Pius X, 9-1, in an Angelus League soccer match at Santa Ana.
Oldham has scored 28 goals in 12 matches. Mater Dei (6-1, 13-2) is a half game behind first-place Bishop Montgomery.
In other Angelus League play:
Servite 3, Bishop Amat 1--Jim Berry scored two goals to lead the Friars (3-4, 6-9) over the Lancers (2-3-1, 3-6-1) at Anaheim. Erwin Garcia also scored a goal for Servite. Sean Wu scored Bishop Amat’s goal.
