Hundreds of prisoners at the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, Tex.--many of whom are Catholics--will help make a 20-foot-high fiber art piece in honor of Pope John Paul II’s visit to San Antonio, scheduled for Sept. 13. Plans call for hanging the huge yarn picture in the high arch in the center of Guadalupe Plaza, across the street from Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Projected costs: $13,000 to $17,000, to be raised in the private sector.
