Plaza Communications Returns to Profitability
- Share via
Plaza Communications Inc., the Irvine publisher of two financial magazines, has reported a return to profitability with fiscal 1987 first-quarter earnings of $108,900. In the year-ago period, the company lost $383,900.
For the period ended Oct. 31, 1986, the company had revenues of $1.3 million, unchanged from the preceding year.
The company attributed its improved performance to aggressive cutting of its administrative, selling and general expenses and the decision a year ago to cut publication of its Personal Investor magazine from 12 issues per year to six.
