State Moves to Revoke Encino Realtor’s License

More than a year after Encino realtor Edie Kelly pleaded no contest to a criminal charge that she forged a trust deed, the state Department of Real Estate has formally moved to revoke her real estate license.
Robert C. Arnold, who heads the department’s southern regulatory area, said the department acted Friday, and that it took so long because records in the case were sealed until last month. The case was reported in The Times last July.
Arnold added that if Kelly contests the department’s formal accusation, she is entitled to a hearing before a state administrative law judge.
Kelly was sentenced in January to 10 days in county jail and five years probation for the trust deed forgery. Kelly also faces two lawsuits stemming from the same case.
