Gonzaga Ends UC Irvine’s Winning Streak, 11-8

UC Irvine’s 11-8 loss to Gonzaga in a nonconference baseball game Monday on Anteater Field ended Irvine’s five-game winning streak.
Mark Webster and Jeff Oberdank each hit home runs for Irvine (11-2-1). Oberdank and Mike Sugar each went 3 for 5 with two RBIs. Bill Seals suffered his first defeat and up his first run of the season in two-thirds innings of relief.
Gonzaga improved to 4-4.
