Ticket information for a Los Angeles Sports Arena engagement next month by U2, the Irish rock band, will be announced today. Brian Murphy, head of Avalon Attractions, said Tuesday he will phone six Los Angeles-area radio stations at 9 a.m. with information on the number of shows and the method of ticket distribution. The stations--KROQ, KISS, KLSX, KLOS, KNAC and KNX--will then presumably pass the word to listeners. According to a separate source, the L.A. engagement will begin April 17 with tickets for two, possibly three shows going on sale this weekend.
