Bottom Line Ethic in U.S.

Lear’s article warns us correctly that corporate short-term thinking is bad for this country.
And it is encouraging that Lear no longer believes that government will solve the problem--although he feels it has a “responsibility.” The real villain, as he points out, “is the climate.”
I do hope he continues to ponder this problem and removes some self-imposed restrictions, so that he can see what history can teach us about “molding moral-cultural values.”
