A prosecutor vowed to seek the death penalty for a self-proclaimed preacher in Philadelphia accused of running a “house of horrors” where two women were killed and four were shackled, tortured and fed dog food. Gary Heidnik, 43, his nose bandaged from a punch by another prisoner in a jail cell, was held without bail in the slaying of Deborah Dudley, 23. He also was held in lieu of $4-million bail in the kidnapings and rapes of four women. An alleged accomplice of Heidnik, Cyril Brown, 31, was being held without bail in the death of a second woman, Sandra Lindsay, 25.
