A 12-year-old Riverdale girl was placed in the Fresno County juvenile detention center after she reportedly pointed a loaded .32-caliber pistol at teacher Louise Dwiggins, 49, while Dwiggins was writing on the blackboard. Other students said the girl, who was not identified because of her age, told them that she wanted to frighten the teacher and would kill her if angered. The pistol was traced to the girl’s legal guardian.
