College Softball : Glomboske Leads Fullerton to a Sweep of San Jose State

Cal State Fullerton combined two strong pitching performances with two 3-for-4 games from freshman Tiny Glomboske to sweep a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. softball doubleheader from San Jose State Saturday at Fullerton.
In the first game, senior Connie Clark (24-1) allowed three hits and struck out three, and Glomboske had the game-winning RBI for the Titans (21-1, 45-4).
Freshman pitcher Janis Okerlund (12-2) scattered seven hits to shut down the Spartans (5-17, 18-23) in the second game.
Charis Monroe, Rina Foster and Missy Coombes each had two hits in each game for Fullerton.
In California Collegiate Athletic Assn. softball:
Chapman 5-1, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 3-3--The Panthers had seven straight hits in a four-run third inning for the victory in the first game of a doubleheader at San Luis Obispo. In the second game, San Luis Obispo (17-3 in conference) scored three runs in the first for the victory over Chapman (3-14) in the conference finale for both teams.
