A Tennessee boot company has filed a lawsuit against the producers of Sylvester Stallone’s “Over the Top,” saying the film makers failed to include Laredo Boot products in the movie as promised in a contract. Los Angeles-based Cannon Films Inc. and Cannon Group Inc. violated a contract by failing to show the Laredo name or boots in the film, said Paul Alexis, Laredo’s attorney. The company, a division of Nashville’s Genesco Inc., is asking for $250,000 to recover direct losses and $750,000 in punitive damages.
