5 Killed in Riots After Cricket Match in India

NEW DELHI — An indefinite curfew was placed on parts of the western Indian city of Ahmedabad on Sunday after five people were killed and six hurt in riots after a cricket match, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.
It said three people were stabbed to death in clashes between rival groups disputing the result of the match and two others were killed when police opened fire to stop the violence, during which vehicles and shops were set on fire.
