Oil Leak Forces Jet Carrying 72 to Land

WICHITA, Kan. — An America West airliner carrying 72 people made an emergency landing Sunday at Mid-Continent Airport because of an oil leak that prompted the pilot to stop one of the plane’s two engines, authorities said. The Boeing 737 was en route from Phoenix to Des Moines when the oil leak was discovered, officials said. There were no reports of injuries in the landing.
