Girl, 1, Survives Fall Through Hole in Floor of Moving Car

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — A 1-year-old girl fell through a hole in the floorboard of a moving car, but suffered only scrapes and bruises, police say.
Officer Dale Easton said Angel Caldwell, the daughter of Anita Patton, 28, of Benton Township, fell Tuesday through a hole “large enough for a grown adult to fall through.”
Easton said the mother and the driver of the car apparently went several blocks before they realized what had happened. The driver was issued a ticket for careless driving, he said.
