SACRAMENTO — Doris Magginetti, who with her husband, George, won the second-largest prize in the history of the California Lottery’s Lotto game--$13.6 million--told a news conference Monday, “I quit gambling.”
Mrs. Magginetti, 54, said she picked four numbers from the birth date of their 1-year-old shepherd-lab dog Mollie, 3-18, and her weight, 91 pounds, a nine and a one.
George, 61, said he filled in the other numbers--ones they had played before--a 34 and a 42.
