An unidentified employee of San Francisco public station KQED-TV has been suspended in connection with the theft of $150,000 from the station. KQED-TV president Anthony Tiano said that no criminal charges have been filed in the case, although the FBI is investigating the matter because it allegedly involves banking. He said that the suspended employee handled the station’s accounts receivable. KQED spokeswoman Nancy Cook said the station discovered that the money was missing May 7.
