CARSON CITY — Major issues have been resolved in a lawsuit that has stopped most development at Lake Tahoe for the last three years, spokesmen for environmentalists and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency said today.
All that remains before the suit can be dismissed is drafting the lawsuit settlement agreement and having the California attorney general and governing boards of the two-state planning agency and League to Save Lake Tahoe approve that document. The planning agency meets June 19 and the league’s board meets June 18 to consider the settlement document. After that, the agreement will be presented to a Sacramento federal district court judge for final dismissal.
