Mr. T, responding for the first time to his Lake Forest, Ill., neighbors’ complaints, says nobody can stop him from cutting down the century-old trees on his suburban Chicago estate. Disputing reports that he was allergic to trees, the burly, mohawked “A-Team” co-star will not reveal why he decided about three weeks ago to cut down more than 100 trees on his property. “That’s my secret,” Mr. T told the weekly Lake Forest-Highland Park News-Voice in a recent interview. “You could say I’m just landscaping. This is my idea, my plan, my money, my land, my secret. And I don’t tell nobody what I’m doing.”
