ROCK ‘N’ SPIRITUALITY

When Hilburn talks about landmark albums combining rock and spirituality, he mentions George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass” in 1971.
He completely ignores the “founding fathers” of spiritual rock, the Moody Blues. Starting in 1967 with “Days of Future Passed,” through “Seventh Sojourn” in 1972, when they first broke up, the Moody Blues put together a body of seven albums of beautiful music with a positive, hopeful spiritual messages that remains unsurpassed by any group in rock.
