Population Bomb a Dud?
Daily news accounts make us aware of the effects of the world’s current 5 billion population: homeless adults and teen-agers; illegal immigration into California; air and water pollution; waste management problems; loss of forests to civilization in Panama, Brazil, and Africa; poverty and unemployment in Central and South America, Mexico, and Africa; the starving; humans destroying plants and animals with the possibility of future mass extinction.
This is the situation today with a world population of 5 billion. Our children’s future seems grim unless the United Nations can face these problems plus deal with a future world population of 10 billion--a deadly H-bomb.
